New Years Greetings from Athens

Jeff Thompson is the Reformed University Fellowship campus minister to international students at the University of Georgia in Athens. Among other things, Jeff hosts an amazing Thursday evening Bible study at his home which is attended by students from all over the world, many of whom are not Christians, and yet all of whom show up to study the Bible with Jeff. We've had the privilege of supporting Jeff's work for many years, and I recently received from him the following New Years greeting:

Dear Haynes Creek Church Friends,

Happy New Year from the Thompsons and our international fellowship at UGA. God's longsuffering love and presence have kept us serving into our 20th year. Thank you for supporting and praying to the end.

Part of the theme of God's providence in 2021 has been welcoming babies throughout the year. Seven safely born with two more on the way this semester. We are also saying goodbye to one third of our regularly attending fellowship, including one family from Nigeria. That family embodied blessing the world.

This semester's hospitality began with a party to watch the Georgia-Alabama national championship. Our Thursday Dinner and Discussion will focus on the gospel afflictions displayed in the Psaltery.

God bless your fellowship and ministry. May many be saved and renewed in Christ.

Love,

Jeff and Caroline
